The works affecting subway line 7bis on weekday evenings in Paris (France) will be going on until mid year. In addition, tram line T4 will be replaced by a bus service after 9PM on Wednesday and Thursday (January 4th and 5th).

New Year's Eve in Brussels and Paris

Like every year at the same time, we are pleased to anounce the release of MetrO databases for the special New Year's Eve services in Paris (France) and Brussels (Belgium).

These databases have been built in a rush and may contain errors despite my efforts to make them as accurate as possible. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience you may experience.

Saint Petersburg

A new station (Admiralteyskaya) was opened yesterday on metro line 5 in Saint Petersburg (Russia).

Beijing

Apparently, many changes will happen on the subway network in Beijing (China) before the end of the year: lines 8 and 15 will be extended and a new line (9) will open.

Grenoble

After a long time without an update, J. Euzenat "refreshed" our database for the bus network of Grenoble (France).

Paris

A new (electric) bus route, named the "Traverse Batignolles-Bichat", has opened in Paris (France), earlier this month.

Lille

I noticed some changes on the main "Liane" bus routes ine Lille (France).

It is very likely that other lines require an update but we will need your help for that to happen!

Prague

F. Kadlec reports a few additional changes in Prague (Czech Republic).

Aix en Provence

L. Kieffer prepared a database for the bus network covering Aix en Provence (France) and its surroundings.

Forbach

L. Kieffer sent a major update for the bus network of Forbach (France).

MetrO 5.9.8

For those among you who use MetrO on PalmOS, Windows Mobile or Symbian devices (users of other platforms automatically enjoy more frequent updates), version 5.9.8 has just been released, with 2 new cities and changes on many more.

In addition, the versions of the app for Symbian^3, S60v5 and Bada have been improved.

Works on the T4 tram line in Paris (France) have ended. Next week, from Monday to Thursday after 10PM, the RER A between Sartrouville and Cergy will be replaced by bus services.

Paris

The extensive changes on the SNCF (french railways) timetables that entered in service today have also affected a few services in the Paris (France) area.

At the same time, Frank refreshed the extra information for some of the POIs included in our databases (mostly obsolete web links) and I also made a few additional adjustments.

Geneva

A new tram section has opened today in Geneva (Switzerland), between "Coutance" and "P+R Bernex". The entire tram network has been streamlined and a few bus and trolleybus lines have also been modified as a consequence.

Zürich

Tomorrow, an extension will open on tram line 4 in Zürich (Switzerland) and a new line (17) will be created.

Stuttgart

The works that have affected the U15 light rail line in Stuttgart (Germany) for years will finally come to an end tomorrow morning.

Nuremberg

C. Eyrich reports the opening tomorrow of an extension on the U3 subway line in Nuremberg (Germany), adding 2 new stations. A few minor changes are also made on the tram and bus network.

Munich

L. Freund informed me of the opening tomorrow of a new tram route (16) in Munich/München (Germany). I also "refreshed" the entire bus and tram network, which had changed a bit since our last update.

Dresden

H. Geisler reported some changes on the tram and bus network in Dresden (Germany).

Frankfurt am Main

A new tram line (18) will open tomorrow in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). P. Absolon prepared the corresponding update to our database, including the impacts of this addition on the rest of the tram and bus network.

Prague

F. Kadlec reports a few changes on the tram network in Prague (Czech Republic).

Berlin (works)

Works on the U2 subway line in Berlin (Germany) have ended and normal services are now restored on both the U1 and U2 lines.

The first line of a new metro system has just opened in Almaty (Kazakhstan).

Yekaterinburg

A new station (Botanicheskaya) has been opened on the single metro line of Yekaterinburg (Russia).
