Paris (works)

There are changes in the works planning in Paris (France). The T2 tram line, that was planned to be closed in the evening for 2 weeks, will finally be closed only for 2 days. Consequently, I will skip the update planned tomorrow.

Next version of the "temporary" files around March 11th.

Brussels

In addition to Antwerpen and Gent, L. Debacker wrote about changes that will occur on the Brussels (Belgium) network, from March 6th.

They will be implemented a bit too early with our next release (due any time, now ;-)

Anvers/Antwerpen

L. Debacker reported important changes on the Antwerpen (Belgium) tram network. The fare increases also impact the Gand (Gent) network.

Montélimar, Voiron

Following on his contribution for Grenoble, S. Blanchard sent me the bus networks for 2 new cities to add to our list: Montélimar & Voiron (France).

Hannover

After Berlin, L. Freund thought that the trip times on the S-Bahn in Hannover (Germany) were not accurate enough and he sent me the actual times, to use in our database.

Berlin

L. Freund noticed that, with the Berlin (Germany) database, the program did not always suggest the best S-Bahn option on stretches that are common to multiple lines.

I have taken their various frequencies into account and adjusted the trip times to the exact values given in the official timetables (as much as possible), which should solve the issue.

Melbourne

About three monthes ago, D. Pickett sent me the data for the whole tram network in Melbourne (Australia), along with many new places of interest.

However we had much trouble integrating it with our database because it exceeded the program capacity (and by a wide margin). Now, after some simplifications (removing the least frequent services and some of the places of interest) and various tweaks, I believe we will finally be able to release a much richer version of our file, although it may still require some adjustments.

I send special thanks to D. for her work on this project AND her patience with the delays I imposed on her...

Grenoble (cont'd)

Following on his first fixes last Thursday, S. Blanchard has provided additional data (mostly new bus lines) for the Grenoble (France) database.

Madrid

With the opening of a new terminal at the Barajas airport in Madrid (Spain), we added a bus line in our database to reach it (others may be added in the future). As a bonus, we also included the airlines for each terminal in the POI information.
