Madrid (works)

Like every summer, important works affect the metro services in Madrid (Spain). This year, one of the oldest sections of the network, between stations "Bilbao" and "Vodafone Sol" is being closed down on line 1, while a special shuttle service is running between Cuatro Caminos and Bilbao.

Paris (works)

Métro station "Barbès-Rochechouart" in Paris (France) is closed on line 2 until the end of August. Services on line 1 will be (again) suspended on Sunday mornings (before 10:00) for a few weeks (except on July 14^th).

Bergen

The "Bybanen" light rail in Bergen (Norway) has just been extended with 5 new stations.

Charleroi

A new light metro line ("M3") has opened yesterday in Charleroi (Belgium).

Berlin

L. Freund suggested the addition of a new POI ("Place of Interest") in our database for Berlin (Germany): "Arena Berlin".

Shenzhen

M. Del Vecchio reported an annoying error in our Shenzhen (China) data: the end station on subway line 4 was incorrectly set as Futian (instead of Futian Checkpoint), thus suggesting nonexistent connections with lines 2 and 3.

México

J. Boisselier reported an error (an undue connection) in our database for México.

Paris (works)

RER E services in Paris (France) will originate/end at "Gare de l'Est" (instead of "Haussmann-St Lazare") on weekday evenings until early July.

Works on tram line 62 in Berlin (Germany) have ended last night. Tram line M1 is replaced by a bus service between "Pastor-Niemöller-Platz" and "Rosenthal Nord" until early September.

Istanbul

The new M3 metro line in Istanbul (Turkey) has opened officially after several months of operation. At the same time the M1b line has been extended, with 4 new stations, making the junction with the M3.

Paris (works)

The full-day works on the Orlyval in Paris (France) have ended and the disruptions will now begin (again) at 21:00 on Monday to Thursday evenings. Services on the RER A are also back to normal.

L. Freund noticed that the A-Bus services in Copenhagen (Denmark) have been extended to run 24x7 since March. The previous night bus network is consequently obsolete, mostly.

T. Schulz noticed a (minor) inaccuracy in our databases for Paris (France), regarding the direction given on subway line 12 (towards "Aubervilliers").

The week-end disruptions on tram lines M6 and 18 in Berlin (Germany) are still going on, with varying timings (this time they will last until Tuesday afternoon).

Chengdu

A 6 stops extension has been inaugurated yesterday on metro line 2 in Chengdu (China), while station Ocean Park has opened on line 1.

New York

After months of works in New York (USA) in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the A train services have finally been restored to the Rockaways.

Lausanne

P. Schweizer reports a few changes in Lausanne (Switzerland), including updates to the 7 and 17 routes.

Munich

Dietmar provided the data for the StadtBus line 188 in Munich/München (Germany), which I thus added to our database.

From next Monday, the weekday evening disruptions on the RER B in Paris (France) will affect the entire section north of station "La Plaine-Stade de France", up to "Roissy-Charles de Gaulle" airport and "Mitry-Claye".

Frank has published a new version of MetrO for iPhone (1.0.0), with a new embedded feature to rate and comment the app, various improvements on the localization for some languages and a few minor bug fixes.

Thanks (?) to a commercial partnership with the telecommunication company, station "Sol" of the Madrid (Spain) metro network is now officially known as "Vodafone Sol" (since this morning).
