Like every summer, important works affect the metro services in Madrid (Spain). This year, one of the oldest sections of the network, between stations "Bilbao" and "Vodafone Sol" is being closed down on line 1, while a special shuttle service is running between Cuatro Caminos and Bilbao.

L. Freund suggested the addition of a new POI ("Place of Interest") in our database for Berlin (Germany): "Arena Berlin".
Shenzhen
M. Del Vecchio reported an annoying error in our Shenzhen (China) data: the end station on subway line 4 was incorrectly set as Futian (instead of Futian Checkpoint), thus suggesting nonexistent connections with lines 2 and 3.

Istanbul
The new M3 metro line in Istanbul (Turkey) has opened officially after several months of operation. At the same time the M1b line has been extended, with 4 new stations, making the junction with the M3.

Thanks (?) to a commercial partnership with the telecommunication company, station "Sol" of the Madrid (Spain) metro network is now officially known as "Vodafone Sol" (since this morning).
