New York (works)

Our special "works" database for New York (USA) has been updated with the latest advisories from the MTA (including the interruption of service on the Long Beach LIRR line on Saturday/Sunday).

Paris (works)

Subway stations Glacière (line 6) and Michel-Ange-Molitor (lines 9 & 10) in Paris (France) will close next Monday for several weeks. There are also changes on the disruptions affecting the RER network.

Monaco

S. Bortolini announces the creation of a new bus stop (on line 4) in Monaco.

Munich

After a mail from H. Jungkunz, I adjusted one bus route (54) in our database for Munich/München (Germany).

Toulouse

M. Dulerm sent an update for the bus network of Toulouse (France), including a new bus route.

Zagreb

Our data for the tram network of Zagreb (Croatia) was getting seriously old and I took some time to check it up and make the necessary updates.

Konstanz

After being warned that it was getting outdated, I entirely rewrote our database for Konstanz (Germany).

Seoul

B. Tang reported a change on a station name (Dongdaemun History & Culture Park) in Seoul (Korea). He also suggested an adjustment to the line colors, although they may now appear a bit washed out...

Tarragona

After the recent (marginal) update on our database for Tarragona (Spain), I have revised the file entirely, with the new bus network.

México

A. Medina Abreu reported an error on a stop name ("La Merced" should be "Merced") and provided additional POIs for our México City (México) database.

Berlin (works)

Some works on lines U6, M1, M4, M5 and M6 in Berlin (Germany) have ended but tram lines M6 and 16 are now replaced by a bus service on part of their route for a few days.

Bordeaux

The bus network in Bordeaux (France) has been overhauled recently and I have entirely rewritten our database, with the tram lines and the "Lianes" (high-frequency bus routes).

No thanks to those who complained and did not help a bit.

Bucaramanga

Y. Perchy sent data and information to build a database for the bus network of Bucaramanga (Colombia).

Wroclaw

G. Karpowicz sent us an important update for Wroclaw (Poland).

Edmonton

The light rail line in Edmonton (Canada) has been extended, also bringing changes on some bus routes.

Lyon

G. Marzocchi informed us of a change of service on the Satobus line in Lyon (France).

New York (works)

Our special "works" database for New York (USA) has been updated with the latest advisories from the MTA.

Madrid (works)

N. Knapp reports that the works on subway line 4 in Madrid (Spain) have ended today.

Bogotá

New express bus lines (B27/H27 & B28/F28) have opened on the Transmilenio network in Bogotá (Colombia). Because our database has grown too large, I had to simplify some descriptions but I believe the change will not affect the file usability and calculations accuracy.

To address a complaint we have received, I feel I must reiterate that MetrO is a collaborative effort and can not survive if users don't help us keep our data up to date. In the case of Bogotá, I have taken the time to add the new lines but I can't check everything else by myself and if some other changes have happened, I count on YOU to report them in details.

In addition, if MetrO almost never suggests switching between express and local lines in Bogotá (to save time even when the start or end points are not served by an express bus), the reason is we have no clue about the trip times within the system. There again, this is not something we can find by ourselves!

Barcelona

A new metro line (L10) has opened in Barcelona (Spain) and the existing L9 line has been extended.

In addition, the Rodalies (suburban rail operated by RENFE) network has been updated. It will also be affected by works on lines R3, R4 & R7 until September 12.

Paris (works)

The week-end works on subway line 1 in Paris (France) have ended and station Odéon reopens today on line 10.

Server incident closed

As far as I can tell, the problems related to last Monday's crash on our server have been fixed and all our services are fully available again.

Singapore

The circle line in Singapore has been extended (it's now about half complete).

MetrO in Italian

L. Saggin noticed that the Italian version of MetrO for Palm was not fully translated and provided the missing text.

MetrO gets a new logo

The RATP (the Paris transit authority) notified us that our (10 years old) logo infringed on one of their trademark and politely asked us to stop using it.

Consequently, we have designed a new logo that will quickly replace the old one, on our web sites as well as in our applications and services.

No hard feelings but we just hope this one won't get another company angry!

Paris (works)

The disruptions on the RER C in Paris (France) will evolve again next week, on various sections of the line.

Server issues (cont'd)

After yesterday's crash, our server has been replaced and restarted. Most of our services are available again although a few problems still have to be fixed.

We apologize again for the inconvenience these issues may have caused.

Trenčín

P. Absolon reports some changes on the bus network of Trenčín (Slovakia).

Paris (works)

Subway line 1 in Paris (France) will suffer additional disruptions over the week-end. And some works will affect various sections of the RER C on the coming days.

Server issues

Our web server is currently difficult to reach, making most of our services unavailable. The problem is under investigation and we hope it will be fixed soon.

Update at 9:30PM: the server has burnt down (figuratively speaking, I hope) and it is now being replaced... I'm afraid that may take some time...

We apologize for the trouble and ask for your patience until the issue is solved.

Prague

F. Kadlec sent a minor update for our Prague (Czech Republic) database.

Shanghai

The Shanghai (China) metro network has changed again with extensions on 2 existing lines (2 & 9) and an entirely new one (10), all in less than one week.

Paris (works)

Works on subway line 1 in Paris (France) will now affect the section between Châtelet & Nation on weekday evenings. In addition, some works on the RER C have ended.
