Softonic, one of the largest mobile software web site in Europe, has picked MetrO for Windows Mobile as an Editor's Choice on September 28th.

The metro network in Guangzhou (China) is rapidly exanding, with one new line (8) and extensions on two existing lines (2 and 4) opened last week.

Brisbane

N. Bell provided the ferry routes to add to our database for Brisbane (Australia) and I took the opportunity to "refresh" the railway network.

Nantes

Frank has geocoded the stations and stops in our database for Nantes (France) and, as usual, we found and fixed a few errors and changes on the network in the process.

As a reminder, the "goeocoding" effort means that users of MetrO for the iPhone can now find a route from/to their current position or a street address (in this case, prefix the address with an '@' in the starting point or destination field, until we design a more user-friendly interface). And the database will also extend the coverage in our Layar layer for iPhones and Android smartphones.

Bangkok

After several delays, the aiport rail link in Bangkok (Thailand) has finally opened last month.

Paris (works)

Works on the RER C, between Choisy and Pont de Rungis, in Paris (France) have ended. The rerouting of the RER A to/from Cergy and Poissy is extended to Monday and Tuesday evenings; next week, the RER D will be replaced by a bus service between Juvisy and Corbeil at night; and the T4 line will be replaced by a bus service on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Some express Transmilenio services in Bogotá (Colombia) have changed recently, including new routes.

L. Kieffer (again!) submitted an additional regional bus lines for our database for Metz (France).

Toulon

L. Kieffer sent a few additional bus routes for our database for Toulon (France), which will make it more useful ;-)

Barcelona

D. Stott reports a new station (Volpelleres) on FGC line S2 in Barcelona (Spain), whose opening last June went unnoticed.

Berlin (works)

Station Uhlandstraße (line U1) in Berlin (Germany) will be closed on Monday and Tuesday. In addition, works affect services on tram lines M4, M5, M6, M17 & 27 for 2 weeks.
