MetrO for the iPhone
After a long wait, I am happy to report that I have started the process of delivering MetrO on the iPhone AppStore. If everything goes right with Apple, it should be available in a few days...
This version will be numbered 0.9.0 since it still has a few "rough edges" and it does not implement all the features I have in mind. However, it is fully functional and should help you wait for the next (better) one!
Thanks to all the beta testers, who helped discover bugs and suggested improvements (even if they did not make it all in this early release).

San Francisco
E.P. Scott sent minor updates - mostly fare changes - for our San Francisco, CA (USA) database.
Tokyo
A. Lane reported a problem with MetrO and our Tokyo (Japan) database: when recommending the Ooedo subway line, the directions given by the program could be misleading.
I have not yet come up with a perfect solution - one that would match the signs on the platforms, not to mention the slightly inconsistent way the line route will be displayed - but, at least, the new version will remove any ambiguity.

MetrO for Classic on Palm Pre
With the iminent release of the new Palm Pre, we have worked with MotionApps to ensure the compatibility of MetrO with their "Classic" emulator.
We are now happy to release the certified version of MetrO 5.8.0 for Classic, that you may download here. It is only available in English at the moment but since the Pre will be distributed only in the US at first, I think the limitation will be bearable.
In order to use the program, you have to download some city files (of course) that are available in our regular packages (see the MetrO home page). I believe that you may install the program (the .prc file above) and the cities (your selection of .pdb files) by just connecting the Pre to your PC with the USB cable and copying the files in the ClassicApps folder. If that does not work, please see the FAQ on the Classic web site for complete instructions.
