i-MetrO

i-MetrOI added a new option to our i-MetrO service, that lets you specify that you prefer to minimize walks on your trip.

At the moment, it considers only walks at the beginning or end of the trip (not long connections between subway stations, for example) and it should be considered experimental.

You are welcome to help translate the title of the option ("I don't like to walk"), which is only available in English, French and Spanish right now.

I also slightly tweaked the user interface layout.

Manchester

GMPTEOn Monday, Metrolink in Manchester (UK) will be suspended in the city centre for works, with bus replacement services available.

I took the opportunity to add the free Metroshuttle bus routes in our database.

Sevilla

As N. Knapp reminded me, the new Sevilla (Spain) metro (subway) has opened.

Our database will include the new route but it will not be well integrated with the existing bus routes because these are not detailed enough to include every connection with the metro. Besides I did not find information about changes on the bus network although I'm pretty sure there are some...

MetrO for UIQ 3, sort of

UIQAs you are now probably aware, we have abandoned any hope to make a version of MetrO for UIQ 3. It just proved too difficult and the news that the company behind the system has gone bankrupt sealed the issue.

StyleTapBut if you want to use MetrO on your UIQ 3 phone, M. Gonden has come up with a solution: StyleTap provides a PalmOS emulator for UIQ and it appears that it runs MetrO without trouble.
