Berlin

O.C. Spauka announces the beginning (tonight) of long-term works on subway line U6 in Berlin (Germany): services are cut off between Friedrichstraße & Französische Straße until Fall 2013.

MetrO 6.0.0

For those among you who still use MetrO on PalmOS, Windows Mobile or Symbian devices (users of other platforms automatically enjoy more frequent updates on city files), version 6.0.0 has been released, with 2 new cities (Carpi in Italy and Suzhou in China) and changes on many more.

Check the details here and download the new version from our home page.

Please note that the program for PalmOS and Windows Mobile will probably not evolve anymore. However, we will keep on delivering the full packages from time to time to provide convenient access to the city files.

Paris (works)

The evening works that affected subway line 7b in Paris (France) have ended. The RER E will depart from / arrive at Gare de l'Est (instead of Haussmann-St Lazare) on weekday evenings until mid-July.

The week-end disruptions on tram lines M1, M10 and 12 in Berlin (Germany) ended this morning. Tram lines 60 and 61 will be replaced by bus services between Bahnhofstraße-Seelenbinderstraße and Altes Wasserwerk / Waldschänke until late August. Finally, tram line 21 will be replaced by a bus service between Bersarinplatz and Blockdammweg over the coming week-end.

A new branch (B1) has opened on metro line B in Roma (Italy).

Alger

An extension has opened on the (single) tram line in Alger (Algeria).

Washington DC

"Hymie!" reports an update to the Washington, DC (USA) Metro system, due to enter in service next Monday, including the addition of new "Rush+" services and several station name changes.

Works on tram line 68 in Berlin (Germany), between Grünau and Alt-Schmöckwitz, have ended this morning (services are still suspended between Zum Seeblick and Alt-Schmöckwitz).
