A new version (again) of MetrO for iPhone is now available on the AppStore, making the app fully compatible with iOS 4 (and the iPhone 4): it fixes the display bug on icons (described here) and the behavior when going to the background has been improved.Donwload MetrO for iPhone (iTunes link).
