Paris

Like every year on July 1st, transportation fares have (significantly) increased in Paris (France).

Ajaccio

L. Alvarez (from the TCA) sent the stops and POIs coordinates for our Ajaccio (France) database, which will allow providing address routing on our web services and on MetrO for iPhone.

Den Haag

J. Mokhtar informs us of the opening of a new tram line (19) in Den Haag/The Hague (Netherlands), next Thursday.

Berlin (works)

The disruptions affecting tram line 62 in Berlin (Germany) have now ended.

Download our latest "works" database here or with our usual online update services.

Next update on July 17 at the latest.

Barcelona

Two new stations have opened on Metro lines L9 and L10 in Barcelona (Spain).

Bergen

A new light rail line ("Bybanen") has started operations in Bergen (Norway).

As usual, we create a database for this single line, in the hope that it will seed a larger (and more useful) file, with your help!

Delhi

A new metro section has opened on subway line 2 (yellow) in Delhi (India). However, because the new section is disconnected from the rest of the network, I included another extension due later this Summer.

MetrO for iPhone 0.9.3

A new version (0.9.3) of MetrO for iPhone is now available on the AppStore. It is only a minor update, fixing 2 bugs: 1 is an erroneous error message and the other, more annoying, is the undue activation of address and user location routing in some cities.

Donwload MetrO for iPhone (iTunes link).

Unfortunately, with the release of the iOS 4 (and the iPhone 4), I have been alerted on an anomaly: many images (e.g. route icons) now just appear as colored squares.

I will try to solve this issue during the week-end.

New York

Budget restrictions have led the MTA to significantly alter some subway services in New York (USA): lines V & W are discontinued while line M is rerouted to midtown and Queens Blvd and line Q is extended to Astoria on weekdays.

The new file is available through our online update services or it can be downloaded here.

Paris (works)

Service on subway line 8 in Paris (France) is suspended between Ecole Vétérinaire de Maisons-Alfort & Charenton Ecoles during the summer. There are also a few changes on the works affecting RER C services to/from Etampes.

Use our online update services or download the "temporary" files here:

• Paris-travaux (complete rail network)

• Paris-full-travaux (subway, RER and inner city bus networks).

Next update planned on (or around) July 2.

New York (works)

Our special "works" database for New York (USA) has been updated with the latest advisories from the MTA. It also includes the major changes that will be applied from Sunday.

Download the new database here or with our online update services.

Next update planned on or around Friday, July 2.

MetrO 5.8.9

The new version of MetrO (5.8.9) is now released, with 2 new cities (Dalian, China & Le Havre, France), and many city updates. There is also a minor change to the PalmOS version of the program as well as better compatibility with the HTC HD2 (Windows Mobile).

Check the details here and download the new version from our home page.

Lisbon

J.A. Miranda reports a minor change on tram ("Eléctrico") line 15E in Lisbon (Portugal).

Paris (works)

Evening works on lines 1 and RER A in Paris (France), that were suspended for the Music Festival, will now resume on all weekdays.

Use our online update services or download the "temporary" files here:

• Paris-travaux (complete rail network)

• Paris-full-travaux (subway, RER and inner city bus networks).

Next update planned on (or around) June 25.

Berlin (works)

A minor disruption affects services at Prinzenstraße on subway line U1 in Berlin (Germany) until mid July.

Download our latest "works" database here or with our usual online update services.

Next update on (or around) June 27.
